Moving from All Notes to Notebook

Hi I am new to Evernote and wanted to ask how to do something specific if anyone knows how. When I move a note from All notes to a specific notebook, if I then delete the note from All notes it also deletes it from the notebook. How do I remove a note from All notes after moving it to notebooks without deleting the other copy so that I can effectively organise and clean up my 'inbox'?

All Notes Is a list of every note, regardless of notebook
You are not moving a note from All Notes

For me, my 'inbox' is my default notebook (named @Inbox)   
I list the notes in this notebook, then process them
