new fonts and text colors

I didn't care a whole lot that there were new fonts from which to choose this morning. But, what's with the new text color palette? The colors are so dull and ugly!!!!! I use a color-coding system (across my various productivity tools) that's now rendered useless. Any chance we can get the old colors back? [Generally, why would you take away little things like that that people depend on? Why wouldn't you just add new colors if you were determined. That is, don't exchange, add.]
