When you have a note open on your phone, then close your phone for a bit and reopen it, the note refreshes. During this time the note disappears and reappears a second or two later, or if in really bad connectivity this period can be quite long.

This doesn't sound like a big problem but drives me crazy if im trying to access it constantly whilst trying to use it for its intended purpose of taking or reading notes... i have to wait for at least 3 seconds from opening whilst it looks to update. I get it that this check needs to take place but this can happen in the background and if the check shows that the note has not been update on another platform then no refresh needs to take place. Giving the user the ability to quickly write or read after opening is really very important and blocking it can throw off thought pattern especially in busy environments.

other than this its a great product and my go to which is why i have taken the time to voice this.

Yes, this is really annoying behavior. It means that if for instance I am jotting things down during a meeting, when it is likely my phone will shut off between jottings, this behavior essentially make Evernote useless. So I use Apple Notes in this circumstance, and later Share the note to Evernote. So I have to use two apps where one should be adequate.

I believe there are other threads discussing this issue. I seem to remember getting the impression that this refresh is a "fix" for another problem, that I don't recall.

I agree. I’m using this on an iPad trying to follow directions and check off steps as I go. I go do the step, but it it takes a while to get the step done and the iPad shuts off, I have to wait for FOREVER to get it to refresh. It then puts me at the top of the instructions rather than where I was looking. Nothing changed in the last 5 minutes so why refresh it? I can change to another app and when I come back it also refreshes. Very annoying, but I do love Evernote in general.
