extensive ENML documentation for a beginner to format web-clip from Pocket using Zapier

maraluke

Idea

So I'm trying to setup a routine using Zapier to connect pocket with Evernote, as there are times when it's easier to bookmark a page to Pocket and send it to a Evernote notebook for me to file later, the problem right now is I can retrieve image URL from the pocket but I don't know how to turn that into a embedded img in Evernote with hyperlink and how to force that into a note thumbnail.

After a little bit of researching it looks like I can achieve that by using ENML , but the documentation I found is a little limiting for a someone with limited experiencehttps://dev.evernote.com/doc/articles/enml.php#styling

I just want to format my notes better from a scripting perspective so I can run my zapier integration better, or eventually maybe have some script to mass-export/import notes in and out of Evernote locally?

I'm willing to learn on my own but if there is just a little bit more extensive documentation or maybe longer example code that would be much appreciated!

I know IFTTT can do this in a simple way, but I'm moving away from IFTTT since Zapier is more robust but does have a bit of learning curve.

And just for discussion's sake I don't use Evernote's web-clipper (bookmark) directly because it almost always takes forever for me and sometime it bugs out and doesn't work, so I prefer to save all the bookmark for later and file them together when I have a longer period of free time, so if some of you have troubleshoot their web-clipper and figure out a way to make it work better please let me know too!

ENML is a fork of HTML.  You will find extensive html documentaion  on the internet.

The hyperlink will only work on the web, so the address in Zapier on the image will not reflect the final path and the initial where the image is located. When using ENML, you will just make an extra round of reformatting the documentation. To make it easier to work with it, it's better to use https://clickhelp.com/online-software-documentation-tool/flexible-help-authoring-tool/ where there are developer tools. Technical writers use this platform as well. I'd advise you to have a look at it to see if your documents and images are be OK.
