greiggy 2
Evernote is the supreme online note system and as such links – internal and external hyperlinks – are essential to its nature. Links and hyperlinks work fine for me on the Mac and online apps but I can't find how to add a hyperlink in iOS e.g. on iPad or iPhone. I have been an Evernote user for some years and I'm sure hyperlinks were easy enough before... What am I missing here? Link to comment
Level 5* DTLow 5,744 Posted December 21, 2018 Level 5* Share Posted December 21, 2018 I'm able to insert hyperlinks into a note in Evernote/IOS For an internal link, I use the copy-internal-link function, and paste. For external links I copy/paste, or just type the link address What's missing in IOS is the edit link function. I'm not able to edit the url embedded beneath the text. Link to comment
greiggy 2
OK, I can copy the internal link, or copy/paste an external URL link address. However, they tend to be long e.g. https://docs.google.com/document/d/1vvJiiCTCXBwH3_uuvGbQk9l84N5A1RwxRbQu4fPjOxo/edit?usp=sharing Nobody wants that taking up three lines in a note, or a big chunk of a mobile device screen. I'm sure in 'historic Evernote' I used to be able to set the name of the link e.g. 'GDoc 3x134'. I don't want to edit the actual URL, just name it sensibly. Link to comment

greiggy 2
Interesting. How would you edit (and shorten) the displayed text, which is the link -- in this note: https://www.evernote.com/shard/s5/sh/cd666a60-c298-41ab-a1ce-c8740bfabaa3/d5bee225aa4a7797436145dfacbc349c Link to comment

Each link points to your Hyperlink note Link to comment

greiggy 2
That's a really helpful tip. Not exactly what I wanted (to name the link properly) but it resolves my problem. Thank you so much. Link to comment

You"re free to edit the displayed text. Link to comment
Paul Badea 1
What I do for IOS is I copy the hyperlink into google docs and edit it there, and then copy it back to evernote. Link to comment
