Switching Between Art and Text

I have a surface laptop and I am wondering how I can switch between typing and hand drawing on my notes. Thank you!

Hi.  I'm not a Surface user (although a couple of family members swear by theirs...) but I gather that Evernote's 'touch' controls are - not its best feature.  Keyboard control (In my slightly biased keyboarding experience) is much easier.  There's no switch or setting in Evernote to change between the two - you'll just have to see what your screen does when you try to navigate and edit without keys.
