Help - OS X system too old for new Evernote

Hey, so i just had to reset my macbook, and had evernote on it before, that i'd downloaded some years ago. Now I want Evernote as my note programme again, but when i try to download/open the programme it says that my system something is too old. So I updated to the Mac OS High Sierra 10.13.6 - and it still won't work. 

Is there any way to download and older version of Evernote, so that I can download, use, and access my account as an app on my computer? 

I hope this makes sense, since I'm not very good with IT.

Can you advise with the actual errors you're seeing.

If you're running OS High Sierra, Evernote should be ok to run.
