I've searched but did not find any instructions as to how to get a photo from my iPhone or iPhoto into Evernote.

Sorry to be clueless. :?

On iPhone, just make a new Note From Camera Roll.

From iPhoto, just make a new note and drag a picture to it from iPhoto. Or just drag a photo onto the Evernote icon in the dock.

As you will soon learn, drag-and-drop is the key to almost everything on a Mac.

I'm a new Evernote user. I can drag photos from iPhoto but most (although not all) don't show the photo, just a box indicating an attachment with the extender .jp2 and the option to 'quick look'. Why do some import and not others and how can I get them all to import?

Thanks.

It looks like those aren't standard JPEG files, but rather a somewhat different file format called "JPEG 2000". Where did those images come from?
