jaytor 0 Posted April 30, 2018 Share Posted April 30, 2018 I had an issue where Evernote was crashing everytime I added a note, so I updated the app on the mac osx appstore. Now I can add notes, but all my notebooks that were locally stored (the majority for IP reasons) are now gone! Anyway, short of TimeMachining back to the old version of Evernote.app, to recover them? Level 5* DTLow 5,736 Posted April 30, 2018 Level 5* Share Posted April 30, 2018 Updating the app should have no impact on local notebooks, but corrupted databases do happen and Evernote rebuilds the database from the server data , losing local notebooks TimeMachine is the best solution to backup/restore local notebooks.
