Evernote space: duplicate info?

Recommended Posts

I am an Evernote Premium subscriber having trouble with Evernote using 38 gig of space on my MacBook. I checked the database size and it says it is 4 gig.  The rest of the space is inside a folder called account-backups. The attached screenshot shows the size of the accounts and account-backup folders as well as the file path.

Is anyone else on 10.11.6 on Mac and has this same setup?

If I look through the size of the notes within Evernote, it seems to matchup better with the 4 gig size, and not the 34 gig size. I've hoping that this is somehow duplicate info, and I can remove it to free up space on my HD. 38gig for Evernote seems way too high.

Not sure what that is but my solution would be to start with a fresh install of Evernote

Remove Evernote from your device; app, database, associated files

The app AppCleaner is recommended for this

Reinstall the Evernote and let the database be rebuilt from the servers

Warning: The rebuild does not include Local Notebooks or unsync’d notes
