Not sure if this is a relevant post, but If an Evernote update appears to stop Outlook loading - start Outlook in Safe Mode - http://www.outlook-tips.net/beginner-user/start-outlook-in-safe-mode/ and if successful, close it down and start normally. Most times that fixes it issues. If not, open again in Safe Mode and disable the Evernote addin in Settings. Close and open normally. Then try to add the addin back, close and re-open.
