chrome Web clipper not clipping Gmail

Idea

When I use the Web Clipper in Chrome to try to clip Gmail, I get no content. I saw posts from 2013 about this problem. Has this still not been fixed? If not, is there anyway around it?

Gmail clipping works fine in our testing.

You may want to check your inbox configuration and try the different options and see if they work. It's hard to diagnose without know the plethora of settings you have on your account.

You must have one selected email that displays in the Gmail UI for the Clipper to find it.

Other culprits may be if you have Google Labs features enabled which may or may not work.

If you can describe what happens when you start the Clipper I can possibly come up with more detailed instructions.

Thanks for your response. Here are the steps I follow:

Open the email in Gmail.

Click the clipper. Clipper opens.

The email message turns blank and a revolving wait image circles on the message, and then it just hangs.

I'm having the same problem. Any chance there is a known fix? I've tried turning off all extensions. I'll try the Labs settings as well, but if anyone knows it would be a big help.

This is an old thread, but maybe this will help others who search and find it.  I was having the same problem, but was using the "Vertical Split" layout in gmail (small setting dropdown in upper right) - when I switched to "No Split", which displays the selected email in the full window, then the clipper will work and clips the entire email nicely.

The web  clipper used to work fine with Gmail. Inexplicably it does not. The message I get is, "The Clipper could not start on this page. Reload . . . "  I reload and get the same message.

I'm having the same problem.  Loads sometimes, not others.  Also hangs and causes GMail to crash.
