Great that we are making some progress. 2 things:

Why not allow focus and zoom on the snapshot?

When it creates the note from the snap shot, have it hightlight the text "Untitles Snapshot" so you can start typing without having to delete those letters.

The Droid bundles the Quickoffice viewer to view Microsoft Office attachments. What are the chances of getting Evernote for Android to utilize either the QuickOffice viewer or some other viewer to see Office documents that have been uploaded to Evernote?

Ever since B6, and still in B9, if I try to take a snapshot on my G1, the first snapshot will work just fine, but from then on the camera will be hung up, resulting in just a black screen, and requiring a forced close to get out of the camera app. From that point on, the camera will not work in any app on the phone, until I reboot the phone. If I take the pictures outside of Evernote, I can take pictures all day without issue, but it would seem like Evernote does not properly release the camera, after the first picture.

Hi

I test this apk on the Archos 5 IT (in french)

and it is good

Install Ok

launch OK

connect Ok

Synchro PC-> Archos Ok

Create new note on the Archos 5 it and synchro to PC OK

Tags are not synchronized

How send the audio note .?

I just wanted to report a little glitch. I edited a note today and after saving, the unedited version displayed. I opened it back up and my edits were there, so it saved just fine. Here are the steps:

• [*:2i61qtpi]Open an existing text note ("Reading View"?)[*:2i61qtpi]Menu > Edit[*:2i61qtpi]Edit the note[*:2i61qtpi]Menu > Save[*:2i61qtpi]Evernote returns to Reading View but the original, unedited version displays

When I pull up "Recent Notes" the thumbnail clearly contains the all of the text I've entered (that is, it's been updated). But if I click it to read it, it's still the old version. If I choose to edit it, the new version is available.

I'm running Evernote on a G1 with Cyanogen's latest ROM.

I'm new to this forum and just learned about the beta for android users. How do I get the download for this? When you post a link, do I do this from the phone or from my desktop? Thanks, Phil

If you have set up your device to allow applications from unknown sources (i.e. outside of Android Market), you can install this application directly on the device.

You can visit http://s.evernote.com/androidbeta in your browser to install the app.

If you use the Barcode Scanner application, you can scan this barcode with your phone to do the same.

thanks so much for the last post. I not only got Evernote on my android phone and have it all set up, just the way I wanted, but I also now have a bar code scanner on the phone, something I didn't know was available. I look forward to finding new uses for that, too.

One more question. I see in the faq listing the option to create password protected / encrypted information. However, I don't see that option anywhere on my windows based version of Evernote. How would I do this? Thanks in advance.

Viewing encrypted notes aren't currently supported on the Android but we hope to include it in future releases.

Both on Mac and Windows, select some or all of the text of a note, right click, and select "Encrypt Selected Text...".

Evernote cannot see or search for encrypted notes but they can be useful for hiding individual private pieces of information.
