Evernote V5.5.2 Initial Sync Failing in Mac OS Mavericks

Bathiya Priyadarshana

Idea

Hi Everyone,

I have been using Evernote in my Windows PC and have around 100+ notes. I switched to a Macbook and I want to sync all my notes to Evernote in my Macbook running OS X Mavericks.

I installed the latest "Evernote Version 5.5.2 (402634 Direct)" for Mac and logged in successfully to Evernote. But the initial sync which is only 28.1 MB is continuously failing. Tried restarting Evernote as well as the Mac but the problem still persists.

When I log into Evernote online account, I can see all notes from my Windows PC correctly synced to the online account. But for some reason it is failing to download into Evernote running in my Mac.

On a side note, I can see all the 'Notebooks' have been properly created in the Evernote in Mac. Only problem is all these Notebooks are empty as none of the 'Notes' are getting synced.

I read some forum posts indicating that problems with one or more Notes preventing the Sync. So I had a look at the 'Activity Log' for any such problematic notes, but it doesn't list any such failed notes, instead it lists the following network connectivity issue.

Although it indicates of a loss of internet connection, I have a stable WiFi connection to my Mac. And this is not happening once, rather each time I press Sync the same log entry appears in the Activity Log. I am not behind a proxy and have a direct internet connection through WiFi.

Any help in resolving the issue is much appreciated.

Thanks,
Bathiya

Are either of you running Mac OS X 10.9.5?  This is a very recent Mac update and I've seen some issues with it and Evernote.

See the troubleshooting link below.

If you can't resolve your sync issue quickly, then I'd suggest you submit an EN Support Ticket (see link below)

I'm running EN Mac 5.5.2 in Mac OS 10.9.5 on two Macs without any crashes or startup issues.

I suggest you Submit a BUG report via an EN Support Ticket. In the Support Form, select "Report a bug, crash, or data lost", and start the Ticket Title with "BUG:  " to make it clear.  Reporting a bug should be available to all users, including Free Account owners.
