Thomas Mahoney 0
Is there a way to use a wrist guard on the screen for an iPad while using my stylist pen? Link to comment
ScottLougheed 1,316
Penultimate already has "wrist rejection" built in to avoid interpreting your wrist as actual input. It works reasonably well if you are using the Adonit Jot Script stylus. This can be enabled in the Penultimate app settings. What kind of wrist guard are you speaking of? Link to comment
Linda Gilman 3
@ScottLougheed.... how do you use Penultimate in landscape mode with the tool bar at the bottom so I don't keep touching the icons..I'm left-handed and this has been causing me problems...and, why I don't use Penultimate as my "go to" writing app. Link to comment
ScottLougheed 1,316
Doesn't appear to be possible. Link to comment
Jordan1969 2
Have you looked at the wrist protection in Upad app? Works much better than Penultimate. Would be awesome to add something similar . Link to comment
Linda Gilman 3
Jordan, I already use Noteshelf, GoodNotes and ZoomNotes. I have others but these are my top. They all have wrist guard. Link to comment
Jordan1969 2
Linda, do any of these sync with Evernote like penultimate? Link to comment
Linda Gilman 3
Jordan, I think all three do. Link to comment
Jordan1969 2
Yeah, just tested zoomnote and noteshelf and they can push to evernote, but they don't synchronize. And I can't tell on good notes. The difference is if the document is fully editable after coming back from Evernote. Link to comment
Linda Gilman 3
Jordan, once you send a document to Evernote..how do you edit? Or, after bringing the document up...how do you "write" on it? Link to comment
Jordan1969 2
That's the point. I was using Upad which operates the same as the apps that you suggested. Essentially pushing the "note" into Evernote as either a .jpg or .pdf. Once it's in that format, I can bring it back into the original app, however all I can do is annotate over top of the original. I can't erase/redraw/etc...With the Penultimate app, it sync's in it's own format allowing me to open it just like it never left my iPad. It's still viewable via Evernote on all my other devices just like it was a .pdf but it's entirely edittable. My fear is that Evernote (which owns Penultimate) isn't spending any resources on the app thinking it's adequate and of course their pushing their new Jot stylus which uses bluetooth to provide the wrist rejection feature. Good idea, but $75 for a stylus I'll probably lose is not much to my liking. Link to comment
