Formatting bugs in Web version, Safari on iPad

Recommended Posts

So, I don’t use enough features to have more than two devices added to my account, and tried to go on my Evernote online from my wife’s iPad to write some notes. So, right from the start, I had to find a work around to Request Desktop Sites, since they keep promoting you to download the app otherwise. Super annoying.

But then when I finally logged in and began a new note, to my disappointment, I found I cannot just start typing. I had to first select the Title, then press Tab to switch to the main area, since tapping on the screen to bring up the typing tool did absolutely nothing. As soon as I celebrated the victory of finding this workaround with the Tab, after typing each word, the cursor keeps moving it to the next line, and then skipping to the top. That is just annoying. I used to be a devoted Evernote ambassador, and recommended it to everyone, but now I’m not so sure. It seems like such a basic issue that shouldn’t even happen. I don’t know if it’s deliberate to frustrate non-paying users into paid customers, because if left with no choice it’s either that or you have to use some other app.

Would love to hear from their customer service/tech support with explaination.

Hi.  We're a (mainly) user-supported Forum.  While Evernote staff also read the forums for feedback and suggestions,  they're generally developers,  not CS or Support,  and don't (usually) respond to individual queries.  Email and chat support is restricted to subscribers,  though it is possible for any user to use Twitter to contact @Evernotehelps. I'm a Windows, Linux and Android user but there are a few colleagues around here who are iPad users and I'm pretty sure it's not a big deal to create notes.  One of them will probably be along in a while with more suggestions...
