Brenda49 0
I've been using evernote for 3 years. I received the following error message when I tried to launch the application. "“Evernote” is damaged and can’t be opened. Delete “Evernote” and download it again from the App Store" I'm concerned that I may loose all 5000 notes if I delete and reinstall. Link to comment
Level 5* DTLow 5,736 Posted April 26, 2018 Level 5* Share Posted April 26, 2018 Which platform? The master version of your data is stored on the servers (exception Local Notebooks and unsync'd notes) so not impacted by what you do on the device. If reinstalling doesn't solved the issue, your database may be corrupted and need to be rebuilt. On my Mac, I use AppCleaner to completely delete Evernote from my device. Reinstall the app, login, and the database is rebuilt from the server. Warning, the rebuild doesn't include Local Notebooks or unsync'd notes. Link to comment
heathercroteau 0
Same problem here on a Mac. Started within the last week and I put off dealing with it until today. I tried using AppCleaner and I still can't get the launch past the verification stage. Help! It seems to be a recurring issue with a lot of people right now. Link to comment
heathercroteau 0
I WAS able to revert to a previous build, so it's definitely something to do with the updated version. Currently running Mac OS X El Capitan 10.11.2. Link to comment
Mário Queiroz 2
This seems to be somehow related to this announcement from Apple: "Users running OS X El Capitan (v10.11 or v10.11.1) may receive a notification that your Mac app is damaged if it utilizes receipt validation to request a new receipt from Apple. They can resolve this issue by restarting their Mac or updating to OS X El Capitan (v10.11.2) or later" (https://developer.apple.com/support/certificates/expiration/). Link to comment
