Trying it now on 10.33.5. No dice.

I have apps that probably update everyday because I allow it to. And it does so in the background, at maybe 3am. Some updates I set that they need to be triggered before proceeding. I think the worst part of all this is how intrusive the prompts are. It's not so much that there's always an update, but the fact that they're always in your face. And while you do have that option whether you want it or not, you are forced to make that option as soon as you run the app vs say having a notification in the toolbar.

While I appreciate the intention of constant improvement, there has to be a better way of implementing it. I have been an Evernote user for over a decade and this is ridiculous. Either give the users the option to automatically update or to automatically ignore. It's not something that has to be triggered by the user every, single, time.
