I've seen the video. Nobody ever asked for my feedback 🙂 so I don't know who were these customers wanting this worst mobile experience ever 😔

I gave them feedback on it multiple times. Including informing them that, since I only upgraded to the highest tier for unlimited customization of my home page, that I would once again be dropping back to the cheaper plan.

I finally came to the realization that my mobile use of EN was completely different from my desktop use. So, I moved those items to Notion along with a few others that Notion does better. It's worked out good so far. Let EN do what it's good at and Notion do what it's good at.

  2. This became a deal breaker for me. Still using Evernote for document storage and retrieval on Windows, I've gone to Notion. Mobile needs to be immediate access, which is what I had with Widgets. Before, what I needed on phone was on opening page or one click away. Now it's 2 clicks just to get to that point. What's worse, there is nothing on that page that is useful to me. People talk about how 'clean' it looks. So does a blank page, which is equally useless.

Recreated my Widgets, including Scratch pad on Notion.

Also, FWIW, recurring tasks got flaky again like they were in early days, so I've pulled those from Evernote.

That's not different here and not the issue: attachment with .php extension opens in editor which is the default app for .php.

What's wrong is that the PDF was imported with a .php extension instead of a .PDF since it was displayed by a php-script, that I can't change the extension in V10 like I could in Legacy and that I can't chose which app to open the wrongly named attachment with.

EDIT: adding ticket #3875870 to my list of unanswered requests...

To  my workflow this is the most disruptive app I have ever used.

The pdf was displayed by a PHP script, so what Evernote correctly imported was PHP. In whatever app was displaying the PDF, could you save or extract the PDF?

For me, it just took around 4 seconds to open the Files screen.

Remember that Files is a work in the earliest stages of development.  It is, I think, a response to the fact that many Evernote users work wqith file attachments more than notes.  The idea has been to develop something that will all the developers to see what is proving useful. So feedback is definitely going to have some influence. But if it really doesn't fly then I imagine Files could disappear as suddenly as it appeared.

If they are monitoring just @bmcl26 and my use then expect it to go soon ;)

Took about 40s for me, but I have over 100K files.

It would be a smart thing to make beta things optional and not forced. They have Google Play console for beta testing, they don't use it.

Also I REALLY hope they don't settle on this design. It's horrible that I can't see my recent notes anymore and it has so much wasted space. :(

They are currently deciding on these 2 designs:

Second one looks good, but I still don't know why they greet me and why do I need the date in a note taking app... Again lot's of wasted space. 🙄
Looking forward to the "much faster" stuff!

    And most importantly,

    NOT MINE

And it doesn't matter how fast it comes up if it puts me 2-4 clicks away from content that used to appear on my home page.

  6. I dropped Twitter when it became X so can't give feedback there. I did give it to the Feedback email address. Also let them know I was dropping Professional. At the old company's urging, I spent a lot of time and effort designing my home page and paid for Pro to get unlimited customization. The things I needed to see where front and center when I started the app. Now everything is at least one or two clicks away and nothing is in the same place. If this becomes their Home, I'll go back to one of the options I used when v10 was new and the Android app was completely broken. I don't mind clicking around if I'm on my laptop, but when I'm out on mobile I need what I need when I need it. This no longer works for me. And I won't support two systems indefinitely. That doesn't work either.

Well, for those of us on Personal, perhaps the AI Edit will be a Professional feature only so it will go away.

oh - yikes - I've seen a vision of the possible future and here it is:

(Note - this was just a joke.)

Well, I was a pro user, but I downgraded when they took my Home Page away on Android, so maybe I'll lose this nonsense also.

Agreed. The AI features seem helpful for those who need it, but my university & employer strictly prohibit the use of any AI tools— being able to toggle this account-wide with an option that's tucked away in the account settings would be perfect.

I'm a fan of AI in general, but I have yet to get any useful results from the one in EN. And either way, I don't need things popping up on my screen.

I'm on 10.80.0.  Now that I've found you can return to the old Home Screen, I've just switched over and ignored the "new" one.

For me, on the same version on Android, it 'resets' to the new 'Home' page. Hopefully this becomes an option soon.

  10. I have sent a couple of notes to Feedback. In the last one I let them know I will be downgrading to Personal. They made such a big deal out of the home page and widgets. And "Home Dashboard     Full customization," was my only reason for upgrading to Professional. If I have to click into the menu on what is now, apparently, the Home page, I can get what I need done using a tag.

  11. In Windows client, there was a little green arrow upper left. Never though much about how much I used it until it was gone. It was my version of backlinks. I jump to a note from a link, then want to go back to the original page. Guess I could learn to use the Backlinks dropdown, but not as convenient or intuitive.

  12. Sounds right. I recall even before that for a few weeks, most or the time I started mobile, I would hit menu, or a note I wanted, and a second or two later, the whole thing would refresh. A bit annoying, but I discovered today that is when it reverts to the new Home page. It may be that it is a home page for people that didn't like widgets, but hopefully it will be an option in the future.

The scratch pad may be related to the refresh. Frequently on mobile, that is what I touch first to make a quick entry. Then it refreshes, perhaps saving the version I touched. Why it just surfaced today, I can't say, but I'm going back to the Android widget for quick entry until this gets sorted.

  13. It always comes up in what it now calls the Home Page. I have to go to the menu and click on My Widgets. I thought the whole purpose of the home page was to have your widgets front and center. Haven't figured out a way to get it back as a default. If I reopen soon, it will be where I left it, but after some period of time, it resets to the new Home page

2nd problem, and this could have been some sort of anomaly, I suddenly had about a dozen 'conflicts' on the scratch pad, all of which were empty.
