  1. Recently the Save to Evernote icon in MS Outlook returns a blank screen with the message Unable to Load Conversation. Evernote is up to date, Outlook is MS Office Home and Business 2016.
  2. After setting up a Bullet Journal in an Evernote Moleskein notebook, it struck me that I was missing the boat, and should just build a Bullet Journal notebook in Evernote. To do so, I need a monthly log template. Before I create one, does anybody have one to share?
  3. gazumped has a point. Whatever system you are using in EN is working. You waste a lot of time looking for the "next best thing" rather using the system that you have. That, IMHO, is the genius of Evernote: the app does not force us to use a predefined system, but lets us create our own.
  4. Why? There is always a problem with "bloatware" when Developers move a treasured application from an area of core competences in a completely different direction.
  5. So, this is yet another subscription service that will allow Evernote integration to the Gmail client? Eventually, we'll all be spending $100 per month on "must have hooks" into Evernote.
  6. Many of these thin bluetooth keyboards have issues with the mechanical design that allows you to inadvertently hit extra characters, etc when entering text, particularly if you are a fast typist. It is worse if there is a built in touchpad on the KB. This is one of the reasons I ditched a Dell Venu 11 for a Surface Pro 3.
  7. HIPPA compliance for a Health Care Professional is too critical an issue to take the risk. Imagine an Attorney finding out in discovery that you keep confidential patient records on a publically accessible cloud server. I know I am exaggerating, but if any of you have ever been in a deposition, you know what I am referring to. I found, via google: https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/insight-notes-notetaking-for/id767439965?mt=8 which seems to have positive reviews.
  8. Evernote on Windows 7 Desktop, Windows 8.1 tablet, Android Phone and in iPad, plus a browser version. You cannot get that with One Note. The reason I switched in the first place was lack of an Android client (direct from MS, not a 3rd party hack) from Microsoft. Add to that Clearly, Skitch, Web Clipper, Penultimate.
  9. I found a Microsoft app called Synch Toy that allows me to synch a target folder with my Dropbox folder. Whenever anything is changed in My Documents, it is copied to Dropbox and synchs to the cloud. Makes documents, etc available on all my various platorms
  10. First off, there has to be a computer residing someplace in the loop with a scanner, wireless, usb or whatever connected. Fujitus's ScanSanp app brings up a destination menu that allows you to add as attachments to a new Evernote note or as a new note with the image in the body. I have a default notebook in Evernote called Collection Bx where everything lands to be categorized and tagged later. For restaurant receipts, etc use the Evernote page camera app to get the image directly into EN. Whatever you do, use Tags religiously for finding / sorting later.
  11. I've got a Fujitsu1500, and with the SancSanp, I can scan and add to Evernote either as an attachment or in the body of a new note. So, I am not aware I am missing any functionality other than the grey color with green accents.
  12. This brings up a great point. Google synchs seamlessly with Android calendars, and with the huge Evernote user base on non iOS devices, this would be a welcome addition. Unfortunately, like a lot of Northern California Tech Companies, iOS predominates development efforts.
  13. Sounds like it might work well for you. 3/4 of my notes are in local notebooks so I need a desktop version. Most of my EN usage is there. I have 4 platforms I use with Evernote: Windows Desktop, Windows 8.1 Tablet, iPad Mini and Android phone. So I need a cloud client.
  14. I really like the new Web client interface and would like to open the discussion about Web vs Windows, or Android or iOS client. Why do I need a desktop client? All of my Evernote content is cloud based, so why do I need a desktop client? Unless it is the rare times when I am not connected to the web and need to access notebooks, etc?
  15. Yeah, but Penultimate for Android is like the holy grail for us 'droid users with Evernote.
