  1. I do. I reported this a long time ago, but no help or fix. I've currently given up on Evernote due to the poor editor experience, and am using something else now. I just dropped by this forum to see if anything new had happened... guess not...
  2. I also have big issues with performance. I run this on a Core i7 machine, and never had issues until lately.
  3. I love it! It's a very welcome improvement which enable a better layout to many of my notes. It took me a few minutes to realize that if you paste an image into a note, you have to exit the note and enter it again, before the new resize handles etc. are available.
  4. Hi, Thanks for letting us know! This sounds very promising. I'm getting a lot of issues with lag with the new release, and now that I understand you've switched to javascript, I'm worried if that would have a performance penalty which we can feel in larger notes?
  5. I listening : I have massive lag in Evernote since the update, and also need to revert.
  6. Hi, Since the last update, today I have a new issue with Evernote freezing for a few seconds even when I just click to position the curser in a note. While evernote is frozen, task manager shows 25% CPU consumption (see attached picture). The note has 75000 characters, no tables and only simple formatting + an attached 13.3KB .xls file. I would appreciate you guys taking a look at it, since it's very time consuming working in this not with all the delays.

  8. Yes I also notice delay in notes now. Already at 20.000 characters I can feel it, although it's probably no more than 1/10 - 2/10 of a second. If I repeatedly and quickly press <enter>, Evernote delays GUI response and consumes an entire CPU core just handling the new lines. Looks like the note editor is doing some processing in the note data handling this. It seems to be heavier close to checkboxes in the text than elsewhere.
  9. I'm with you guys on this rant! Working professionally with Evernote could be a lot smoother.
  10. I also second that it's a major issue not to be able to manually set the size of a picture. And as others, I do not want to resize the picture to a different width/height than its original. Just change the display size. I do a lot of handwritten notes on my Galaxy Note tablet, and they display way too big in Evernote for Windows, but no way for me to resize them. If I do, I loose the ability to open the notes again for more editing. Thank for sharing this good usage example. I hope we can draw more attention to this matter to make the EN team react. As a Evernote user for many years, I wouldn't bet on it. They seem to be more focused on introducing new weird features, than eliminating some of the basic errors that we fight with every day.

  12. I have the same issue. It's easy to reproduce. The reason is, that I often take a picture on my smartphone. It's uploaded to evernote embedded in a new note. In Evernote for windows, I open the newly created note, and copy/paste the picture from that note to the note where I want it (I have some diary-style log notes used for work etc.). Now I am unable to "open with" this pasted picture.
  13. Well I've had griefs over the text editor on android for years and still do. Recently I got an iphone, and I'm surprised to see that this evernote on ios seems to work a lot better. Exactly the same note: a pain to edit on android, easy to edit on IOS. Can I suggest you guys get some ideas from the IOS developers?
  14. Agree, agree and agree. In fact I agree to the degree that I already have exported all of my notes out of Evernote and to a competing product. I am premium user, but will not extend my subscription beyond this period. Why? Because basic editing functionality doesn't work good enough. It's error prone and I don't trust it. I don't care about new features, as long as the basic core functionality is not working...
