The recent revisions of Evernote app for Android, and for the windows interface, it seems to privilege the idea of creating notes more than accessing them. And in fact, the newest version on the Android app just took away my shortcuts link in the bottom bar. And all of the GUI interface on the startup page in the app is dedicated to creating. So how about a customization option that lets the user choose to display their notes as the startup page? With a tags and a shortcut link option at the top? Rather than going with a design philosophy that seems aimed with the idea that users more often create notes, rather than access them.

I just did the update. Thanks for fixing this. I've been an Evernote user since 2012, and the main functionality I need from it is the quick ability to update notes on my phone, which I can also access via my computer. But I use it 75% of the time with my phone. This problem had been frustrating me so much, that I was ready to switch to another service. For instance, the most basic thing I use it for is a grocery list. Yet every time I would open Evernote on my phone to add an item to my grocery list, it would take several minutes for the database to update on the phone and make the grocery list note editable. So it became useless for reminder lists that one might update on their phone. Anyway, I wanted to share this with you because I feel like this is a bug that should never make it past your internal Evernote team testing as it kills basic usability of Evernote for Android users. I hope your team will do better at testing new releases in the future.

And I'm a Plus user, and I can't choose. So I'm already paying evernote, but apparently they want to make it less user friendly for me.

I do not have any use for this new Evernote home screen that came with the recent upgrade. I just want it to open in the Notes view, both in Windows and on my Android phone. Is there anyway to do that? I can't find a setting for it.
