I was able to resolve this on MacOS by the following (inspired by agsteele's comment): 1. Evernote > Preferences > Deselect "Save Data at Log Out" 2. Clicking my username in the upper left corner of the Evernote window and select log out, making sure to select "Remove my Evernote data from this device" 3. Sign back in

Same problem here as well. The option to apply a template disappears once a title is added.
