Well I've got this "EvernoteSpotlight quit unexpectedly" problem back AGAIN. Third time since July that I'll have to delete and reinstall Evernote to fix it. I've recently moved over to Apple Notes, finally giving up on Evernote Premium after eleven years. Only keeping Evernote as an archive now.

Start happening for me again last night too! I hoped upgrading to Version 7.13 would fix it, but nope. Silly me.

@PinkElephant Thanks, I did open a support ticket with them a couple of months ago about the same issue and they told me it was a known issue but they didn't have a proper fix. I assume nothing has changed since then. So I've done another clean and re-install, I'll see how that goes. 🙂

Did you do a complete (!) uninstall back then ?
Are you on regular software, or running any beta on your Mac ?
@PinkElephant,
Yes I did a complete (!) uninstall back at the beginning of August (I actually ran through the process twice to make sure) - and there have been no errors since - until 24 hours ago.
On regular software. No beta that I'm aware of. This is my production machine.

I'm getting the "quit repeatedly" error again! I fixed it a few weeks ago and now it's back!
Version 7.12 (457936)

Can confirm. I had to go through this process twice because the first time I neglected to pay enough attention to "check every box" in App Cleaner. Once I repeated the process and ensured every box was checked (there was one relating to spotlight waaaay down the bottom), I haven't had the error for over 24 hours, which is a relief.

I've had this problem now for ten weeks. So much for the new Evernote leadership making big changes to customer support.

Both issues are mentioned in that thread. I've been having the spotlight issue for weeks. But yes, you're right - has not been fixed.

This issue has been ongoing for several weeks. See:
No fix for it yet as far as I know. Happens to me several times a day.

Yes - I did a complete clean, followed Nick's above instructions to the letter. The error first appeared today when I plugged it int, and then multiple times later in the day after I unplugged it and worked from battery.

Nick, I wanted to confirm that this seems to have resolved the issue, thanks. I've been up and running again for 24 hours with no error message pop-ups. Appreciate your instructions.
Sorry Nick. The Spotlight error has started again. I'm getting it constantly.

Okay I guess I'll have to. That error message keeps popping up even though Evernote is not open and it's interrupting a film I'm trying to watch. Bloody annoying,

Hi,
Just wanted to provide some clarity around this issue. Evernote 7.11 contains the fix for this, and is now available in the Mac App Store and direct download. All users I've worked with running into this issue reported 7.11 fixing it, so I'm interested in knowing why @SpyvsSpy is still seeing it.
Please file a support ticket here if you're still seeing the problem after updating to 7.11.
I've installed 7.11 and I'm still getting the error. Had it 5 times in the last 90 seconds, in fact. I lodged a support ticket and they weren't able to help me.

Still crashing after 7.11 install.

So it looks like this bug still hasn't been fixed? I'm still getting it in 7.5.1. Anyone else?

I'm having the same problem. For years I've worked with EN by having multiple notes opened to full screen and then swiping between them. Now I can't seem to do that? As Justin stated, when I have a note open in a window, then try to open another note in a second window, the first note is closed automatically.

Four months since Evernote broke Penultimate. No fix, no updates. Nothing. I miss Phil.
-
So it's been nearly a month and there hasn't been an update to Penultimate to fix the offset problem. Has anyone heard anything about it from EN?
-
I’m having the same problem and it seems to be specific to Penultimate and only in portrait mode. Landscape is fine.

Would you mind pointing us to the exact steps to use this?
Thanks.
CMD-A the text of the note you want to edit.
Right Click inside the note then Services ▹ New TextEdit Window Containing Selection".
Then in TextEdit "Edit ▹ Find ▹ Find & Replace".
Then copy all and paste back over selection in Evernote.

Not sure TextEdit would be my choice, but if it works for you
Only reason I used TextEdit is because it has a macOS service associated with it already. The service will grab the Evernote content and make it instantly available while retaining the formatting.

Oh they are definitely not alone with this issue. I still had it up until I gave up on Evernote and migrated over to Apple Notes several months go. But that doesn't excuse @Stinos01 from being a complete DBAG and filling up my inbox with that *****.
