  1. I've been running both EN v. 7.14 and the current version on my Mac for a year or more, mainly because none of my Hazel automations work with EN 10. Once I updated my Mac to Ventura, I could no longer read PDFs in the Legacy version - I just get a text bar that reads "Missing Plug-In." The notes with PDFs sync perfectly well, however, and I can open and read them in the current version on my various devices, but it's a little irritating having to open two iterations of the desktop app just to be sure that the correct PDF uploaded & synced. Has anyone had the same issue and found a solution?

Wanted to show this New York Times page which Evernote has multiple problems with:

    • using iOS Evernote extension fails to save any text at all (here is result of save)
    • although you can get the text w/the Chrome extension, the resulting Evernote note is unreadable on mobile, as shown in this short video

I noticed the same problem, first with the New York Times a few weeks ago and then today trying to clip the order confirmation page after placing an order with Home Depot (link to result) - the iOS web clipper (i.e., sharing to Evernote from the Share menu in Safari) doesn't seem to actually clip what's on the web page. Based on the result - in both cases, the HTML section of the note pulls in a log in screen - it looks as though the iOS clipper creates a note and then tries to RELOAD the page in the HTML window of the note. This isn't how it used to function, and it isn't how the desktop version works (Mac or Windows).

@PinkElephant  What browser is your first note - "the result of clipping in iOS, plain and without any tricks" - from?

  3. +1 for bringing back Places / Atlas view, please! Or at least bring back a functioning location search syntax that doesn't require me to have earned my orienteering badge to work out longitude and latitude while I'm on my iPhone trying to figure out where that nearby restaurant whose name I've forgotten (but whose menu I added to a geotagged note five years earlier) is.

We've been faithfully storing location data in our notes for years since the last version for Mac, iOS, or Web where it was useful. Please, make location data useful again.

Update on email a copy: We should have this restored very early next year and at the latest within the next couple of months.

Thanks, Jack. I shared notes by email regularly with people who don't have and won't get Evernote accounts - starting with my assistant. This is an important feature. I've been a premium member since 2009 and have stayed premium rather than switching to a free service like Google Drive because Evernote offers more features than GDrive; please don't race Google to the bottom.

  5. This is just ridiculous. When Evernote dropped Atlas from iOS (also without explanation), the company claimed it was working on a location "filter" that would replace the function. NINE MONTHS LATER, we have received... nothing. I expect the same for the Mac app. I've been a premium subscriber since 2009, and I am tremendously disappointed in the direction this product has been taken over the past 12-18 months.

  6. Another long-time (since 2009) full premium user disappointed at the loss of Atlas view (or ANY location functionality at all) in the iOS app. I can't understand why it is available in the Mac application but not on our phones,* which are what we usually have with us when we are away from home and office.

*NOTE TO EVERNOTE: PLEASE DO NOT TAKE THE ABOVE COMMENT AS A REASON TO ELIMINATE THE ATLAS VIEW IN THE MAC APP.

Seriously, it has been 5 months since Atlas view was eliminated, and I haven't seen the promised "filter" to replace it.
