Is there a way to default to the Today's Tasks screen on IOS when opening the app instead of the home screen? I haven't seen how to do it. I really have no use for the home screen as it is.

I actually have a question about that. I have always wondered about the security of the link to an outside system like Todoist or TickTick. Like a bad player couldn't use that link to get to anything else in my EN account could they? I'm not implying anything I just really dont know so I have held off. Anyone here know?

I too am interested in this. I am teetering on using apple notes or EN because of security. I can set up Advanced Data Protection on apple and no one but me can see my data. even if apple is hacked. Wish there was something like this here. I've read the Security policy but I'm just not sure how protected my sensitive documents really are. Not even sure how to find out. 

I don't know if you all received a survey from EN asking about our  usage of tasks. It looked formal and something that everyone would receive? It came through the desktop app.  I was heartened by this that tasks are being looked at or at least on the radar. I also received an IOS update fixing a bug for tasks that the tasks list has not always reflected the due date on the note. I am hopeful their focus is on tasks right now and some things will be fixed/improved.

Green is the old v10 UI; Periwinkle the new.

It is the color you show above. Periwinkle. I guess that means I have the new version. Yeah in light mode I'm not a fan of the new look. It's usable I guess and it's not going to make me cancel my subscription but it's definitely harder to use. In dark mode, for me, it's much more usable. IMO. 

I just got upgraded to 10.76.2. Is that the new UI? I do everything in dark mode so maybe I dont notice the differences as much as I would in light mode? I've used dark mode so long I dont remember what it looked like in light mode.

 I wonder if I got the new UI or not.

Just to confirm you are all using the repeat after completion function? I agree regular tasks are working fine. It is only when I use this function. If you are I will try the full reinstall.

I did that test and the same issue. Crazy. Only happens on "after completion" type recurring tasks.

Check you're on the latest version as I think there was an issue which I believe was fixed.

I am on 10.74.1. I was asked to update yesterday. I dont see another update for today. Is that what you have? I will try to delete the entire note again and add tasks that recur on completion and see if I have the same issue. I'll report back. Thank you.

I have done this so many times. lol. I have even deleted the note all together, recreated the note and added tasks to occur upon completion. Same issue. Glad it worked for you though. Thank you. 

Not sure if this is the right forum to post to. I looked at several. The only real issue I'm having with EN now is with Tasks. I think I've even narrowed that issue down to a certain type of tasks: those that repeat after completion. I have notified EN of this and nothing as of yet but I wanted to see if anyone else has this issue. Other tasks seem to work more or less properly but when I set up a task as repeat after completion, and I complete the task, after a few minutes it pops back up in my task list as needing completion for today. If I complete it again, after a few minutes it will come back again. It doesn't seem to matter what my repeat schedule is whether it's daily, weekly, or whatever. 

Anyone else experience this? Maybe its user error of some kind?

Many times when new UI's are introduced the development team, usually younger people, don't take into account those with visual handicaps and older adults whose vision is not like it once was. By removing contrast, small fonts, etc. you make the system very hard to use for a large number of users. Please keep this in mind when rolling out changes. Lots of white space, low contrast, small fonts make an unappealing and difficult to use interface for many people.

Whenever I complete the task in the task view it disappears and the blue confirmation dialogue box appears but then the task reappears later. Other tasks are also effected. Same on Web or Windows desktop version so I don't think it is a local database problem. Frustrating. 

UPDATE:

I deleted all the site data on the Web version of EN and that solved the problem. On Chrome you click the icon to the left of the url and choose "site settings" and then delete data. When I logged in again it was solved. Could be coincidence but when I went back to the desktop version that was also correct.

I have tried everything including what you suggest. I continue to have issues. My hope is  that BS will address this in some way in the near future. They seem to be devoting the majority of their resources to cleaning up the source code of the product so hopefully they will address this as well. I have noticed I have more issues when I use the "after completion" option under custom when setting repeats. Such as powerful feature but it doesn't work a lot of the time.  I'm still using tasks because the integration of tasks with notes is so powerful for me but as part of my weekly review I have to review that all the dates are working as they should. I have to constantly make corrections which should not be the case. I use this for personal use and am retired so I get away with it but I certainly would not use this for my work until it becomes stable. 

I too have all the same issues as above. Tasks I mark as complete then  they somehow uncomplete themselves and even show overdue a week ago! I have tasks that show on the task list on the Mac that dont show on my iPhone task list. That one baffles me completely. I have tasks that are supposed to recur that dont show on my task list when they are due so I totally miss doing them. Overdue tasks don't always show as overdue they simply disappear. It's only when I happen to go to that note that I see I have an overdue task. 

I have submitted several tickets related to tasks as it seems to be the only real issues I have with EN currently. I wish they would rewrite it or something to get it fixed. It's one of the main reasons I went back to EN. It's definitely not reliable in its current form.

Thank you. I have version 7.33.1 which I believe is the latest. Would you mind telling me how to do it for this ignorant user? I can see how to select a notebook but not a specific note. I'm sure I'll feel silly after you tell me. I'm okay with that.

When using the EN web clipper many times I would like to clip to a specific note I have already created not create a new one. I thought in the past we could do this but I dont see how to do it now. Granted I have been away from EN for quite a while. Is this still a thing and I'm just ignorant on how to do it?

In contrast, EN completes it and then it immediately appears again for you to do it today as well. Thank you. I have noticed that as well and also prefer it. I have also had the issue on items that are not set to repeat however. Oh well, they are aware of the issue and hopefully will get it fixed at some point. Thank you for responding. 

I am using the Tasks feature in EN. I am using a newer MacBook Air, an iPad Mini 6, and iPhone 14. Same on all devices. I really like the way the tasks feature works and it works most of the time but sometimes catches me out with the problem I described. BTW when I check EN web the problem is there too. I have submitted tickets to EN and they have been responsive but not a fix yet. Just wondering if I am alone with the issue. 

This is really the only issue I'm having with EN currently. I really like this functionality and will keep using it but the issue I'm having is tasks that once entered sometimes dont show completed after I have completed them in the app. For example, I put in a task to vacuum due today in a home maintenance note. I do the task and then check it completed in the app. A few moments later it reappears still due today. I click it completed again and a few moments later it reappears. Or sometimes tasks show as overdue after I completed them already a few days ago. Very strange. I wish i could identify a pattern but I can't. Most tasks work just fine but 10-20% do not. Anyone else? Showed this to my wife just to get confirmation I wasn't having a memory issue. lol.
