  1. I've just checked, and I've been a paid customer for 15 years, but I think I'm out at this point - just getting too pricy. I can understand if people see value in widgets, tasks and calendars - I don't use any of that so the value of those features is zero to me.

It will be a hassle exporting everything, but that's life!

I thought the previous suggestion of talking to Evernote seemed quite reasonable...

My mail client can flag senders as spammers,  so maybe add a selection of addresses to your 'block' list as you receive the mails you don't like.

This last one like previous complaints is in the app - the only way to deal with it seems to be block evernote from providing any notifications which is not optimal.

I did email evernote about this previously (the other pop-ups) but got no response.

The way is to set up good device security. On mobile it is through biometric methods (touch or face ID). On computers one should set up a different account for every user. The EN account can remain logged in - authentication happens once when opening the account. Depending on the device there is the possibility to set up Face ID (Windows Hello) or touch (most Macs).

    Nothing to do for EN.

So passwordless is a new authentication model being adopted by Apple, Microsoft (already in use), Google and companies like Paypal and password managers.

It completely removes the use of passwords by the end-user - so if I was setting up evernote on a new device I would not use a password to do it.

    its explained here:

Tasks work for all Plans, to an extend because features will be different.

EN will move you to Personal, which is Premium plus some for the old price. Maybe takes a little to roll out.

If it didn’t happen within of a day, ask support.

This does not seem to be true in some regions - in the UK - the price has increased and people about to have their renewal are showing the new price so they do not seem to be grandfathered into an older price.

Absolutely and is difficult to square with the email I received which said:

We’ll upgrade you into a new, more powerful Evernote plan at the same price you’re paying now.

Which only really gives you two options:

    1) Incompetence

    2) Lies

Neither are a great advert for Evernote.

  6. What is the difference between "custom" and "full customization" in regards to the dashboard?

Overall I see very little of interest here - although I completely accepted that many users likely have a use for linking their calendar and doing tasks in evernote.

And you deem Microsoft marketing speech any better (concerning your first post) ?

If you don’t want or need a feature, don’t use it. Or how do you handle you O365 package? Deleting All Code for functions you don’t need ? And don’t tell me you use it all …

Well office365 has a public roadmap so I know months in advance what I am getting - I don't recall ever receiving an email that was as vague as this from Microsoft (actually I don't remember ever receiving an email off Microsoft).

  8. This is an absolutely terrible email comm - amateur hour.

Your plan is changing but don't worry it's going to have great new things such as... em...er.... well we'll get back to you with the details...

It provides no real information and just creates confusion.
