    @scruggles @Paulo Diovani idea is not only to take notes but to read them also, it should be of same priority, make it editable at first to keep "edit note as quickly as possible" but provide option of lock page/ read page mode, which not only stop from editing but also remove red underline for wrong spellings & make page lock remember its setting for a particular note.
