Anyone else starting to hate evernote?
Yales 3 steps to print a note - then the header of course has ***** like creation, location, tags - all stuff I nore necessarily want to pass along.
Any alternatives?

There are other options out there, OneNote, Apple Notes, etc. Each has their own strengths and weaknesses. One of the things I like best about Evernote is that it *does* allow me to export my data onto something else on my Mac (ahem, I'm looking at you, OneNote and Apple Notes).
Export a subset of your notes, try importing it into an alternate app and see if it works better for you.
I completely understand your frustration with the current state of affairs. Unfortunately, we're all in a holding pattern while waiting for the 'new' Evernote to arrive.
