  1. Thanks, this helps. It's not what I would like but at least now I know to stop trying.
  2. Thanks for the instructions! I've seen how mysteriously slow this process is too. Once that initial sync is complete, will the app be able to sync documents in the background even if Evernote is not open? Or can it only ever sync documents when Evernote is in the foreground?
  3. I have an Evernote Personal account. Is it supposed to be possible for my mobile device to sync notebooks in the background? In my experience, my phone never syncs until I open the app. Here's a specific example of what I'd like to happen: On my phone, I set my General notebook to offline and wait for it to download, then I put my phone to sleep On my laptop, I create a new document in my General notebook titled "XYZ" I get on the train where my phone doesn't have cellular or wifi data I open Evernote on my phone and the document "XYZ" is there. What actually happens is that when I open my phone, if it has service then it loads new docs over the next 30 seconds or so, and if it doesn't have service then new docs are not available at all. Is there a way for it to do what I want?
  4. +1, please make use of OS-standard color pickers. I understand that things are now more consistent across platforms but the reduction in usability isn't worth it.
  5. Thanks for the workaround. I guess it must be doing some kind of sync of the entire saved history or something like that, since 38k of text normally wouldn't take 60 seconds to transfer. I'll try to start new docs more frequently.
  6. I have several notes that are like "journals" -- I add a little bit to them every day. They're not large; one is 38kb according to Evernote. When I try to edit one of these notes in the mobile app, Evernote freezes up, often for more than 60 seconds (I've timed it). By freezes up, I mean that the keyboard appears but I can't type or scroll the screen. I can use the system controls to switch away from the app, but I can't do anything in the app. I have had the same problem on two different phones, an old Pixel 2 and a brand new, stock Pixel 6. I'm currently on Evernote for Android 10.21, but this has been happening for months. What can I do about this?
  7. Just +1ing that I had this exact problem; quitting didn't help at all but turning off spellcheck did. It didn't fix the problem where short, text-only notes that I use every day take 15 seconds or more to load, though.
  8. I like the change except that the "good morning" block takes up 1/3 of the screen on my iPhone SE and prevents me from having anything useful on there. I know this kind of feature often wins in A/B tests, but I'd appreciate an option to turn it off.
