With the new upgrade there is no longer search within an open pdf?   This is a complete deal breaker for me.  100% the most used function.  I work in medicine and have over 3000 pdf journal articles.  I can search for a drug and narrow down PDFs, then search for dosing info within the pdf on the fly, in real-time on a conference call.  I would actually pay to roll back a version. Cutting and pasting within the pdf was critical to how I spend my day.

I second that. It is maybe my most used feature of Evernote. I hope it’s coming back because it is almost impossible to find anything in huge PDF files.

The web clipping with iOS is weak, compared to the web clipper capabilities on the desktop clients.

To improve web clipping on iPad and iPhone I use this nice shortcut for iOS that is clipping sites from Safari and creates a lean, clean note from the clipped stuff. It usually does exclude all the adds and clutter, comes with a reader-type layout and copies pictures and working links that are in the original website as well.

The only downside I have found up to now is that it takes several seconds to execute. But the result makes up for this.

I hope this link to the iCloud is working for everybody who wants to install the shortcut to the shortcuts App. It will show in the share menu in Safari:

You can edit the shortcut on the bottom of the workflow it’s 5 seconds by default. You can change it to 1 and it saves you 4 seconds!

Maybe this iOS shortcut can help:

Sometimes it works just fine, sometimes it does not grab all of the page. This is especially true when trying to grab a forum discussion .... but on normal web sites, it clips everything with a lean layout. Some of the pics may be missing, so if you need them, copy and paste them manually.

I am using it too and I add the link of the article. Another workaround I found to be working well is to send the article to pocket first and then send it to Evernote. It requires an extra step but it works.

Web clipper was maybe the first reason we fell in love with Evernote. It deserves more attention and I hope they will address it with the new versions.

Likewise (heavy lifting); I use Evernote on a Mac Mini desktop, with an iPad as my mobile device
Features are improving, but I don't recommend IOS/Android/Web as your sole Evernote platform

But the thing is that mobile devices got so much better over time that people (including myself) are moving away from PCs or Macs. iOS devices are so powerful and capable to do anything. At the same time we have invested so much time in Evernote and there is also a brand loyalty in most of us that makes it so hard to leave. And I don’t want to leave. I just want EN to become a mobile first platform.

I understand what you’re saying but I, mistakenly, took premium subs. I use my iPad for everything - no desktop. Obviously my fault for not reading the App Store description correctly but there’s no way I can reverse my subscription as far as I can tell. That’s why I’m disappointed!

    Same here.

i am an iOS only user and this doesn’t feel great. But I am looking forward to see Small’s plan to make the EN experience same on every platform.

Are you requesting a change to the IOS web clipper feature?

    Ok let me refrase that.

i would like to be able to append to a note on iOS through the share sheet (pages, links, photos, anything that can be shared).

  7. @DTLow may I ask how you do that?

on iOS they only way I found is through Siri, but is not really convenient and not always handy.

i would like to be able to add clippings (I saw you already upvoted this request) or any other type like Apple Notes or Bear does for example.
