Personally, I have reverted back to the Legacy version on my Windows machine.. but I also have automatic replication happening to my iOS and MacOS devices. The legacy version still works (for now), but just to be sure I'm starting to copy the encrypted stuff into a backup Word file and encrypt those.. just in case I can't open/decrypt it in the future and get a "sorry the older version isn't officially supported" type of response. I am also a PREMIUM member, but not sure for how much longer -

I heavily use a feature where I encrypt a section of text and edit it.. did Evernote just NERF (remove) this feature in the new upgrade? Permanently unencrypting, editing, then reencrypting is not a good workaround as: (1) it's slow, (2) the unencrypted text is then replicated in plain text among the different servers, including (3) the edit history if you're a premium level user (like I am)
