Hi @McVitasConflicts should only show when a note is edited on different clients that are not able to keep in sync (e.g. missing network). Whereas working on only one client should not produce any issues. I would suggest raising a ticket. The Android client still seems to suffer from rare internal racing conditions (bug) sometimes leading to these conflicts (see them sometimes too but very rarely fortunately).

One would think so! But as you can see @PinkElephant has a different opinion

I find it weird that often when I open a note it DOES NOT show the last text I typed there like an hour ago, but something shorter. Then within a second it gets updated somehow and shows the last version! Seems like Evernote somehow keeps more versions of the note in the device memory and refreshes it from the network. But why isn't the last edited content shown immediately I wonder. If this situation happens and there is a wonky network then I think it can lead to a situation I described.

  3. This is beyond my mental capacity. Today I was away all day and used Evernote only on my phone. In the evening I noticed suddenly there is a conflict with the one and only note I was typing to. How is it possible there are conflicts if there was no other device which could cause it? And there is not one but TWO conflicting notes! I notice two of them technically don't conflict because text is the same only there is more of text in the other one. How can adding a text create a conflict? This happened already many times.

There was a time with weak data signal, so I suppose that's how it happened - but again the phone was the ONLY source so it doesn't make any sense for conflicts to happen, does it?

  4. Something broke today and I can't seem to login in neither browser: FireFox nor Edge! I authenticate with my credentials and forever see just this

It's been like this quite usually before in FireFox so I got used to use Evernote only in MS Edge, but today I find myself unable to get there from anywhere. That's really cool :-] Should I just get used to delete evernote cookies every week or so because they somehow "rot" and break the application? I don't think this is very user friendly design if that's so...

Saved some IMPORTANT info to a note and ONLY THE TITLE survived. Body info was completely missing.

Luckily I still had the data, so I needed to re-enter it.

Evernote needs an option to SAVE and REFRESH a note which could be used optionally. Self-explanatory: It should save the note and refresh the screen to show it's saved.

I confirm this happens to me A LOT! It is probable that many times I don't even notice and just quietly lose some text! I type something in the note on my phone and probably don't tap the checkmark (which does force save I presume...), then do something else and later I go to Evernote and notice that this text I was typing before is just missing there! Seems like the autosave sometimes does not happen. Now I try to remember to always tap that green check...

  6. It happens very often that I try opening a note but only see endless loading animation. I have to tap android back or the back arrow in Evernote to get back to previous screen and when I try opening that note again it loads immediately!
The same happens often when I have some note open, switch away from Evernote and after some time switch back to it - I see loading animation again and have to repeat the procedure.

  7. Oh really? Then why do I get this message EVERY TIME I open Evernote on my phone? 😄 You really try hard to get me back to be a paying customer right? I must admit this constant nagging and offers work much better then the fact that I had to stop using my desktop client and choose only Android and web client. I recently cancelled my Evernote personal subscription because the price almost doubled and bugs like GBoard selected text deletion are not fixed for many years, but I begin to regret it 😄

What was reported is that the web client opens everything quite snappy. Maybe an option for the current situation ?

I am sorry but you should read more carefully before answering - I have said that this problem happens on both web client and the desktop app and I have said it twice! Just now I opened a very short note modified yesterday and it took maybe about 40seconds - in web client.

  9. Does this mean that I need to click on ALL my notes one by one and wait to trigger some conversion and then it will make them faster to load next time? Well unfortunately even this weird way doesn't seem to be working. I have just tried opening a note from May 31st (on web client) which I worked with many times in last few days and it again took about half a minute to show.

  10. So it's been 3 years and nobody cares to address this serious bug?

Just quickly checked how many downloads has GBoard - it's 5billion! (Swiftkey has 1billion) Clearly this keyboard is VERY popular. I am using it as well and suffer from this bug. I wonder what system does Evernote team use to assign priority to things, but if fixing this is not a priority, then what is?

How many people can be using Evernote and GBoard but they DIDN'T realize right at the moment when it happened that selecting and deleting removes more text? They probably think they are stupid when they read their notes later and stumble upon this, never realizing it's not their fault...

  11. Hello, this started happening just recently (maybe weeks).

When I click on some note it often takes half a minute or more to load! And almost all my notes are quite short texts without images, so WTH? In the bottom right corner it says "Saving..." This happens both on web client and desktop app! I tried on two computers and it's the same. I thought that desktop app has all notes cached offline, so there shouldn't be any network bottleneck. It doesn't matter which notebook I am in or what is the age of the note.

You know why I have been using EverNote instead of OneNote? Because OneNote has really slow web client, but unfortunately now it seems to be on par and I am beginning to fear that one day it will not load at all.

  12. Today Evernote managed to surprise me once again with it's ridiculous sync issues! I was typing a note on a PC and later in the evening opened Evernote on the phone. It said "we have found multiple copies..." and I see there are 5 copies of that one note and they look identical, except the last word which is in one note missing completely, then in half complete, in another in two thirds and then whole! WTH? Looks like the five conflicts got created while I was typing that one word, which couldn't have been longer then two seconds!
