  1. Yes, when I used Evernote still around a month ago, I had the same issues.... horrible performance on desktop and on mobile. One of the things that made me eventually move.
  2. The Evernote annotation features aren't quite enough for what I need to do, are there any good softwares out there that allow me to annotate books for research that integrate well with Evernote? Thanks
  3. Really annoying issue. When I right click on a note, for example to correct a spelling mistake, Evernote freezes for around 1-3 minutes. Is there anyway to fix this? Thanks
  4. Apologies - double click on the note to open it in a new window, and use that to annotate. Write notes in the other window.
  5. Hi all, I found a bug where if I open a note, open the pdf to annotate and highlight it, and whilst that is open, make notes in the same note that the PDF is attached once the PDF is saved all text written since it was opened for annotation is removed. This is really annoying as I could not find a way to recover text, and it is useful to be able to highlight and take notes at the same time. Any chance of a fix? Steps to reproduce: Attach PDF to note Open note in new window and open annotation view for PDF. Write text in note. Annotate and save PDF. Text gone. Thanks
  6. I am getting this too - I am unable to click save after making highlights in a PDF. I have to throw in an arrow somewhere and make it tiny to be able to save.
  7. I've been using Evernote for school for a good amount of years now - starting in year 8/9 and now in my second year of university. Wrote a post on it on my site here: https://www.thenerdystudent.com/2017/03/evernote-for-students/ Evernote is a great way to take notes - makes it really easy to search through your notes, handwriting, and organise projects. Currently using it to research and plan for an essay - Evernote webclipper is great to keep sources. Really, really recommend using Evernote for school. It is by far the best way to take notes I have found - I upload all my handwritten notes to my account too.
  8. The note I have is a few bullet points - only one marked as needing to sync.
  9. Hi all, Keep getting this popup that stops me writing on the Evernote window. I am only syncing one note - all my large notes from when I had premium are a few years old and already synced. Why is this thing still popping up? How can I stop it? Incredibly annoying. Thanks!
  10. Hello - I don't want to just move the database - I want to actually install the program on the D drive.
  11. I want to install on my SSD, D:\, not my NVME, C:\. How can I do this? Thanks!
  12. That's the original note. Sorry for the late reply! I thought it wouldn't highlight if it couldn't read my handwriting? Thanks
  13. OCR result is showing, but the yellow highlight is solid: Any way I can fix this? Thanks! Just as a side note, very impressed with OCR. Improved dramatically since I last used it a year or two ago.
  14. Thanks, that what I did but I put them all in a subject note. Thanks for the URL, I'll be using that! Unfortunately I'm on Windows, so no scripting available. I'm just going to add them to my subject note as I go along, and when I finish a topic, make a new merged 'master' note, along with the separate subjects. Thanks!
  15. I've split them up into subtopics, then I compile the notes together into an overview note, and link them in a master note like this: Works pretty well, I will do this from now on!
  16. I have a large note, a few thousand words long, which has notes on topics. For example, in my geography notebook I have one note for tectonics, coasts, etc: Similar for history and economics too. I am wondering if I can create a table at the top of the note to let me jump to the various sections? Or would it be better to split the note up into topics, and then create a table of contents for the topic with a link to each subtopic? Thanks!
  17. I used the full version of premium until it expired, then DMed them on Twitter to ask about the student discount. They gave it to me using a special link, and now I'm using that Maybe try the same? I had to give them my student email as proof.
  18. I just use Mindnode to make my mindmaps, then export it as an image or PDF and attach it to a note. Lucidchart is also great if you are looking for a free web tool
  19. I would love to see this, would be great when sharing notes with others and telling them a little more about the note.
  20. Okay, thanks. Wouldn't it just be easier to bullet point in EN? I've looked around exporting Airtable to EN, but I can't seem to be able to find if I can. Thank you!
  21. Thanks! I'm a little confused on how to use it to make a standard timeline. I just have events with the date, and some info. Thank you
  22. Awesome, thank you! Do you know if Airtable works on iOS? It's the tool I use at school, so the one I would need to. Thank you!
  23. Would love to see this - also, tables need better compatibility across platforms.
