I've submitted a support request about this issue. It's extremely irritating. I thought I was annoyed by the inability to have the app open immediately with my list of notes rather than the home screen, but this swiping thing has rendered the app almost completely useless for my needs. I agree there needs to be a way to disable this 'feature' on android.
