Thanks, I give that a try, as I do tend to repeat searchs

I thought I understood how to select multiple tags to narrow my search but I see now that I do not.I selected the "Tutorial" tag. I planned to add the Photo.Pr tag, to narrow my search to Pr tutorials only because I expected the Photo.Pr tag to be listed with the others, but it wasn't, in spite of there being one.Filtering with multiple tags has always evaded me, I mean I would read up then forget because I wasn't using it! When the version came out that listed associated tags I thought my problems were over, but then this happened. Why doesn't the Photo.Pr tag show up in the Filter list? How do I select a tag when it isn't listed. Intuitively it seems like it should be on that list.

EN refers to each of the individual elements in the filter as a filter for the purposes of counting them and displaying that number in the widget. So if you filter for a particular tag and a particular notebook it says 2 filters underneath the name of the filter. I think EN's nomenclature is confusing. When you click the "5 filters" the filter menu comes up and it should have 5 fields filled in, out of the available 6.
Oh! Now I see, and your right!
I was hoping to create Filters with multiple tags, that I could use in search, like the One I have, but I was hoping I could great others, like presets. Beginning to it's not an option. -
I can't figure out how this widget works.
I get the filter options but I have "5 filters" but when I click the link only one opens, how do I access the others? Where are my filters saved, so I can find and use them; only one displays.
I searched help but found nothing, but it's a widget, so probably wouldn't be in the nelp text. I tried searching the forum but I got so many hits thee results weren't helpful.
Could someone give me a link to a recourse that will explain how to use it?

When I press Sync, on my Samsung S10 I get "Note upload failed.. Note conflict Dashboard". What does it mean? That message keeps appearing in my Notifications list.
I was told the how important v numbers were and maybe that is the problem. I keep waiting for the availability of the updated Android app but "upgrade" never appears on the listing in the Play Store. So until I get that upgrade I'm sticking with the older v on my laptop, where I don't get a sync error, which seems odd; wouldn't I get that error on both devices if I get it on one?
This is the v I now have on my Laptop: 6.25.1.9091 (309091) Public (CE Build ce-62.6.10954) I'm not sure the current v but I didn't initiale any upgrades, for the reason mentioned above, but could autoupgrade be in play here?

And maybe however much longer it takes for that forum to settle down...
I received a notice that the upgrade was done but that was over month ago and there is still no upgrade option in the Play Store. How much longer should Android users expect to wait before the upgrade posts to the Play Store?

Unless you have a desperate need to update, you might want to wait a while on both computer and Androids, while Evernote polishes the both applications.
Good Advise, I just wait until the upgrade Android App is released. Thanks

I am anxious to install the EN upgrade on my computer but, all my devices are all Android.
I know EN is coming out with an Android version but can I install and use the upgrade on my computer now, even though my devices are still using the older Android v on EN?

Sorry for the delay, I didn't get a notification; will check up on that, but thanks for the correction. I have that link saved but I guess I need to read the "preface" to the syntax listings below /-: I won't make that mistake again 😇

I was searching for all notes tagged with Software, specifically notes tagged Software.EN. I consulted the online tutorial and followed the syntax in that tutorial and I checked, and double checked my spelling, yet I get nothing.
I have never really grasped EN's search functions, because the results I get are often baffling, even when I follow the rules.
I'm sure I will be embarrassed for overlooking something that is very obvious but, for the life of me, I can't figure out what that is.

I want to find notes that contain more than one tag. For example, if I'm searching for Photoshop tutorials I would search tutorials: photoshop: that should only deliver tutorials for photoshop.
But I tried searching on the work "week" that was taged with both Data: Personal" and got "week" with those tags but also with tags I did not enter. Why is that?

Sometimes my notes contain VBA code like "sheet3", "columns.count", "EntireRow", etc. and with punctuation that is not grammatical. So I end up with notes filled with irrelevant red underlines that are not only distracting but annoying.
Is there a way to stop spell checking locally, just on the current note?

I'm not sure if cursor leaps is what you meant or if you meant actual bodies of text jumping around.
Is there a particular event other than synchronization that triggers the problems you mentioned ?
2I appears that the text is realigning while I type, it's isn't the cursor that jumps, it's the text around it. I have the sync set to 5 min but it seems like the text I'm typing is trying to sync with the text that is in the cloud. I will have to pay closer attention to this behavior so I can more accurately describe it in a f\u message.

May be more than you want, but the procedure below will let you stop ALL syncs for a designated period of time. A workaround for sure, but it does perform nicely.

Thanks, I will try that, but it seems like a lot of work to solve what appears to be a common problem or simple frustration. Wonder why Tool/options are available to stop this from happening while editing notes.

Tools > Options > Synchronization offers some control over when notes sync. Is it possible that (as others have reported) this is the bug in which the cursor jumps to the note title on sync? I believe the fix (until the bug itself is fixed) is Tools > Options > Note > deselect Set new note focus to title. I could be off on that, though.
It was already deselected, apparently by default.

Sorry, yes, I'm on a Windows 10 computer.

I am very frustrated by the way EN text jumps around as I edit notes.
I appreciate that this has something to do with keeping notes sync'd, which is good, but I find myself slowed down and frustrated when it happens because every time it happens, and it happens every few seconds, I lose my place and have to stop to find it again.
New instantly note close when created on Fold Z

EV is running on my open Samsung Fold Z but when a tap "New Note"the note opens, then immediately closes. When I brng EV back into focus, and tap the newly created "Unnamed note", the same thing hppens.
The odd thing is that's it's inermittent!
I shut EN down on my computer: just in case, I reinstalled it, I rebooted my phone which makes me wonder if this is some kind of compatability issue, or a bug.
