Any Idea if deleting the App from the phone, re-installing and then logging in with old details would work?

Apologies if this is the wrong forum. My wife (free account) forgot her Evernote Pin yesterday. After a number of attempts the App locked her out. How do we recover the App access? Using Iphone 12. Was using Fingerprint ID on Iphone 6 SE so didn't remember PIN when upgrading to Iphone 12. Have raised a query with Evernote but hoping the collective wisdom will point us in the right direction for a fix.
