Cut/Copy then Paste into an encrypted area does not work if the selection included an entire line and selection came from inside the encrypted area.
To reproduce, show encrypted text, go into the block and select an entire line (or more), then cut or copy to put it on the clipboard. You can verify it is in the clipboard by pasting it outside the encrypted block (or in another app). Now try to paste it INTO the encrypted block. It refuses to paste.
Copy or cut part of a line from the encrypted block, do not include the line terminator, and it will work.
Copy or cut an entire line including terminator from outside the encrypted block, that also works.
The details should be a clue to the developers.
I am observing this in Mac version 6.8 and it has been this way for a long time.
