himansh 0
Is there a way I can save/export my old Facebook posts (status updates) into Evernote? (I know I can use IFTTT to save all *future* FB status updates into Evernote, but I also want to backup my old posts) Link to comment
Level 5* gazumped 12,140 Posted December 24, 2015 Level 5* Share Posted December 24, 2015 When you export from FB you get a zipped file containing an HTML index file with links to more information in HTML files or JPGs. It's a mini-website of your FB history. You could store the zip file in Evernote but you won't be able to display the information as a website from there. You could extract the files from the zip to a folder on your desktop and use a browser clipper to convert the various pages into separate notes, then replace the original links on the index page with links to the correct notes - there are apparently 16 pages to process. Up to you whether that amount of effort is worth it, or you just want somewhere safe to keep the zip file. If you are using this as a backup for the information, make sure you have copies of your database folder saved somewhere local and offline too. Link to comment
