(Archived) 1.7.0b1 stalls migrating notes

I'm not sure how I got this version, it must have been an auto update. But when I launch it, it gives me the little "migrating notes from previous version" progress bar and starts verrry slowly going through my notes. After a few it just seems to stall out and I have to force quit. The next time I launch it seems to pick up where it left off (after several launches, the progress bar is maybe 5% done). The UI is unresponsive during this migration attempt.

If you received the beta test version (1.7.0 beta 1), you must have checked:

Preferences > Software Updates > Update to beta versions when available

You could revert back to the last full release by unchecking that box, quit Evernote from the elephant in the menu bar, and then download the normal installer: http://www.evernote.com/about/download/mac.php

However, it would be helpful to get information from your logs to help us track down the source of the problem.

Could you try starting Evernote again, and then wait for this problem. When you see it, run the Mac "Console" application and copy the last dozen "Evernote" lines there, which should hopefully give an indication of what was happening.

I couldn't change updating preferences because the UI was nonresponsive. I had to force quit, then download and install the current shipping release over the newer beta. It seems to be working.
