Level 5* gazumped 12,039 Posted October 16, 2015 Level 5* Share Posted October 16, 2015 Hi. Always good to know what OS and what device you're using? In theory you should be able to copy the note into your own notebook and long-press or right-click it to see the share options... Link to comment

Jeff Weyer 1
Wouldn't that defeat the purpose of sharing a note book so everyone can see everything in one place? Link to comment
Level 5* gazumped 12,039 Posted October 16, 2015 Level 5* Share Posted October 16, 2015 Hi. Sorry - your question was 'how to email' not 'how to extend the share with others...' - when a notebook is shared initially, there's an option to share as read-only, read and edit, or read, edit and invite others. Do you have the correct authority? You will need to ask the original sharer to change the permissions. Link to comment
Jeff Weyer 1
When creating the notebook the sharing options are: Can View, Can Edit, Can Edit and Invite.Edit and Invite is the option that is selected. Link to comment
Level 5* gazumped 12,039 Posted October 17, 2015 Level 5* Share Posted October 17, 2015 Hmmn. The options appear to be: either the share to you is somehow faulty and does not permit you to invite others, or the email address you're trying to add is not acceptable to Evernote. We can test the second if you could try to share with a couple of different email addresses; if that doesn't work could you ask the person who has shared with you to unshare and then reshare the notebook? Jeff Weyer 1
I've already explored both of those, not the issue I'm afraid. Link to comment
Level 5* gazumped 12,039 Posted October 17, 2015 Level 5* Share Posted October 17, 2015 OK - I think we already tried all the reasonable options. The only ones left are: File > Exit Evernote, restart the device and sign back in; File > Exit Evernote, rename your database folder and wait for Evernote to reinstall and reindex the full database from the server (you'd have to export any local notebooks or unsynced notes to ENEX files first) Uninstall and reinstall the app - shouldn't affect your database folder, but you should already have the original you renamed in step 2 if you need a backup.Evernote's Help Center might have more on this under sharing, but at this stage you might want to submit a support request (any 'contact support' button) to get some more help. Please let us know when you find the answer! Link to comment
