CeriKins 0 Posted August 11, 2015 Posted August 11, 2015 I've been sent a work chat and I can't open it due to an error message saying I need permission to access it. Not happened before.
Evernote Expert gazumped 12,641 Posted September 3, 2015 Evernote Expert Posted September 3, 2015 Hi. If you haven't resolved this yet, what OS do you have, what version of Evernote are you using, and exactly how are you trying to open the chat?
Evernote Expert gazumped 12,641 Posted September 6, 2015 Evernote Expert Posted September 6, 2015 Hi. I got your PM, but for a normal tech chat I'd suggest continuing on this thread - you may get others joining in too if they find a solution for you, and it's easier for any Evernote techs to take note of any problems they may need to look into... You mentioned seeing an error message - can you tell us what it said?
CeriKins 0 Posted September 7, 2015 Author Posted September 7, 2015 Hi. The error message is:Can't open note. Either you need permission to access or the note was moved.
Evernote Expert gazumped 12,641 Posted September 7, 2015 Evernote Expert Posted September 7, 2015 Sounds like the person sending you the share did something with that note which is preventing you from accessing it. Can you ask them to re-share it to you?
CeriKins 0 Posted September 8, 2015 Author Posted September 8, 2015 Sender has deleted files which I think maybe the issue
Evernote Expert gazumped 12,641 Posted September 8, 2015 Evernote Expert Posted September 8, 2015 Yup. That would do it. "Share" implies that the notes still exist in their original location. Your contact should send the notes by email if they're intended for deletion afterward.
