Using Shared Notes

I am new to using shared notes and notebooks. Based on what I've seen so far, it doesn't look like there is any way to include shared notes/notebooks in your general list of notes. They only appear in the work chat where they were shared, and I have to go find them. Is this true? I would expect notes shared with me to show up in my list of all notes, maybe in a notebook called "Shared" or something. When I shared an entire notebook with someone, that notebook also only shows up in the work chat. What am I missing?
