UI Drag&Drop RTF/TXT files import still not working after 7 years?

Hi, 
I just tried Evernote again to maybe decide and make it my main note taking app.

But I can see than 7 years after trying the first time, and after looking at dozens of topics asking for the same thing, Evernote still doesn't properly import RTF/TXT files and you can't do it on the app UIs directly.

Is there any alternative that can easily do that on Mac?

What specific problems/issues are you seeing?

Both TXT and RTF files import properly for me into EN Mac 6.0.6 on Mavericks.

I just drag the file from the Finder to the EN icon in the Dock.
