I need a little help

This ( evernote ) is all very new to me. And so far I love it.. Great way to put my head together.

I need someone to tell me how I did this type of highlighting that can be seen below. I tried many different ways and it has been impossible for me to do it again. Please help. I'm sure it's right in front of me and easy to do.
