Frank.dg 1,385
Hi @Mac mom,On desktop, one does not need to be concerned about saving the contents of a note. It is all taken care of automatically... so you can transition from one note to the next without worrying about any changes being saved/ lost. Your files are saved on your HD as well - in the app data files (which you won't be able to read). Your information is all local as well as synced to the web. In fact, it is not possible to have notes remain only in the cloud. Everything is synced to your desktop, unlike mobile devices. It's all available offline. That's the way it is for now. You are also able to export notebooks via .enex files if you want a backup... or copy specific files in your Evernote app data files. You'll need to tinker with that and explore a little. What sort of lost notes are we talking about? If you've deleted any, you should find them in your trash "notebook". For lost note information, if you were a premium user, you you'd have access to Note History. But you'll need the original note for that. That's another story... Link to comment
