Can't sync with Evernote server

Evernote Synch Issue

This past week I noticed that my local install on win7 was not synching with the servers.

When I log into my acct online it shows the last note created 2 weeks ago.

Have not changed anything significant in the past 2 weeks.

I was able to update the local copy to the latest version just in case that was the issue.

I could still see the data on the PC copy but it would not connect to the server.

Now it just says connecting to server and just keeps trying till I start task manager and shut it down there it won't stop or close and it sets there for a long time trying to connect to server.

Any suggestions?

I have logged online my acct in the help section of the website using both the http and https links there no problem.

Evernote made some changes to improve security that may affect you.

One important thing to do,  whether or not you use Internet Explorer to browse;  go to

• Internet Explorer > Settings > Internet Options > Advanced.
• scroll down to Security
• Check "Use TLS 1.0 / 1.1 / 1.2".  and UNcheck any SSL boxes.

Then retry syncing.

Guess I missed those emails...ought to pay closer attention to them moving forward.

I was a bit confused at first because I don't use Internet Explorer but then I realized yeah...but IE is a part of the OS so I clicked the second link and went to internet options in control panel and did it there.
