Crossing off check box items on an iPhone in e.g. a grocery list is awful.

Every time I try to cross am item off and I end up bringing up the keyboard then closing it, then bring up the keyboard again, I then cross the wrong item off, then I have a discussion with my girlfriend over the merits of technology before I end up just not crossing items off, and hoping I've got everything.

Please introduce a check list view.

I see this working by each statement and it's corresponding check box becoming a much neater and easier to press button.

That can be frustrating.  You can use the Presentation view to keep the full check list visible, however, you will not be able to check off any items.
