Is there an option to show the status bar at the bottom of the app that shows total note count for the app and word/character count and note size for each note like there is in the Windows version?

Hi. No, there is not. However, if you go in your menu bar to View -> Sidebar Options -> Show Note Counts then you will be able to find the total note count. As for the rest of it, I have asked for more "information density" along the lines of the Windows app as well. As far as I know, there is no way to get it, and there are currently no plans to add it. Parallels, of course, is always an option
