Bleomycin 0 Posted January 17, 2014 Posted January 17, 2014 In the evernote update for windows today this is listed in the change log: Evernote for Windows 5.1.1.2334 GA Release NotesImprovements:Recognition & formatting of scanned business cards into Contact Notes I just imported a business card scanned as both .jpg and .pdf and evernote is not doing anything with the cards. Is this update supposed to provide similar functionality to the iphone app when business card is selected for a new note? Am I missing something obvious? Thanks!
victorsalman 0 Posted January 17, 2014 Posted January 17, 2014 I am also curious to see what this does. Any change we need too make a notebook "Contact notes" and there will all the business cards be sorted alphabetically automatically (wouldn't it be great)
spg SCOTT 736 Posted January 17, 2014 Posted January 17, 2014 These are related to notes that come from the scansnap software it seems: Those are for what we're calling "Contacts Notes" where after you scan in a Business Card from the ScanSnap Evernote Edition, we will go and make it a richer note by pulling in information from LinkedIn. Even if we don't get any information from LinkedIn, we'll at least make the scan prettier and have text that you can copy/paste out of.http://discussion.evernote.com/topic/51953-whats-the-function-of-updated-from-social-search/#entry255614
Jeff510 95 Posted January 24, 2014 Posted January 24, 2014 Ah nuts. Was hoping that was something for ones taken with a camera too...
